In order to appreciate HKITA for actively promoting the Qualifications Framework (QF) and participating in the “Recognition of Prior Learning” mechanism, HKITA Chairman Prof. Kan Chi Wai was invited by QF to attend the “Ceremony and Sharing Session for Fashion Industry” held in Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District on 12 October 2023 (Thursday) to receive the commendation.

 

Sample Development Centre – Fashion Costing Workshop

Sample Development Centre organized the Fashion Costing Workshop on 6 October. It enables participants to understand the composition of fashion cost to calculate the total cost, learn to effectively calculate and control the amount of fabric used, and evaluate the factors that affect costs and how to reduce costs.

Fashion Summit (HK) 2023

Asia’s Leading Sustainable Fashion Event “Fashion Summit (HK) 2023” will be held on 11 – 12 Oct at Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District with the theme of “Actions to the Sustainability Journey”. Sample Development Centre – Textile Knowledge Workshop

Sample Development Centre organized the Textile Knowledge Workshop on 18 August. It enables participants to understand fabric fibers, as well as the structure of woven and knitted fabrics, so as to understand fabric printing, dyeing, and common defects; understand the impact of fabrics with different structures and properties on fashion costs, and master how to take a balance in the process of making fashion.
