
3. General Scheme of the Examination
The Institution examination is normally held once every year in June and opened to all candidates with the following requirements: Candidates applying for taking the examination should be: Candidates are required to submit copies of qualifications for certification purpose. Syllabuses and past examination papers can be purchased from the Examination and Training Committee of the Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel. Candidates who have passed six papers of the Advanced Diploma Examination can apply for the Licentiate membership and also to apply to sit for the Graduate Diploma Examinations of the HKITA. |
A student is entitled for granting an Attendance Certificate in each subject issued by CITA if he/she attained 70% attendance. A student failed to achieve the minimum attendance requirement, he/she will not allow to sit in the exam. A student is entitled for the award of Module Certificate issued by CITA if he/she passed the coursework of a module and attended the minimum attendance requirement. A student is entitled for the award of Advanced Certificate issued by CITA if he/she attained six Module Certificates within a period of 4 years. Students, who had completed the course (6 subjects) successfully (pass both coursework and examination) within the said prescribed duration, will be awarded Advanced Diploma issued by HKITA. He/she would also be qualified for apply the Licentiate Member of the HKITA. They are also eligible to pursue the Graduate Diploma in Apparel Merchandising and Marketing. |
