Professor Philip Yeung

Executive Director, Clothing Industry Training Authority, Hong Kong

Professor Philip Yeung is currently the Executive Director of the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA) in Hong Kong. Professor Yeung has a long and distinguished academic career and was associated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) for more than 30 years before joining CITA in June 2006. His administrative ability is also highly appreciated in PolyU when he was posted as its Vice President overseeing academic development from 2002 to 2005. His long association with PolyU also saw a successful development of the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) for which he was the department head for more than 10 years. ITC is now widely recognized as one of the best textile-related academic departments in the world. In addition to his research interest in textile product development, Professor Yeung is also actively conducting consultancy projects in the application of quality management for the industry.
