1.COURSE OBJECTIVES

This module aims to provide students with fundamental skills and knowledge of fashion design, yet considers both current market trends and individual design concepts as influences on the merchandising of designs. Having successfully completed the module, the students will be able to:
(a) Understand the functions and concepts of fashion design
(b) Develop creative individual thinking skills
(c) Acquire knowledge and skills needed for development and interpretation in fashion design
(d) Develop an awareness and appreciation of the functions of art principles as an integral part of fashion design.
